While I understand the intent behind this message, it is NOT okay. It is not okay to body shame ANY body style: fat, thin, curvy, whatever. No body shape is more valuable than any other. There is no one shape for women to aspire/conform to. We are ALL beautiful.
iwrite89: While, I agree with the above comment, I do believe that we are allowed to like one body type more than another. We are allowed to look at Kiera Knightley and think that it’s disgusting. I think Marilyn Monroe and 50’s pinup girls are way hotter than modern emaciated models. And everyone judges. No one thinks that EVERYONE is beautiful on the same level. You don’t look at a 500 lb woman with no teeth and a bald spot and say, “You are just as beautiful as Angelina Jolie.” If you do, you’re crazy. And furthermore, the fact that models are so thin is unhealthy. It’s not that they are all so naturally thin you can see every bone in their fucking body. That’s not a body type, it’s an unhealthy lifestyle. The question this picture asks is why is being unhealthy more attractive than being a healthy? Why is starving yourself okay because Hollywood says so? It’s not. It never will be. Society is lying to all of us, she has brainwashed all of us. We can either agree with her and tell everyone to embrace Hollywood’s promotion of eating disorders, or we can stand up and do something to change that ignorant belief. It’s not okay.
